Lots of bird recordings

xeno-canto update

Hello Birdingperu,

This is another update on the community website on neotropical
birdsongs, www.xeno-canto.org

During the last month we have added the entire collections of Sjoerd
Mayer, Sebastian Herzog (nearly done), and Bennett Hennessey. Nick
Athanas has also contributed a good set of his best recordings, and he
expects to add more in due course.

As a result there are currently over 3300 recordings of some 1380
species on file.

We are in the process of introducing Country Profiles pages, which
highlight endemic and range-restricted species on file, and give links
to bird-related websites specific for particular countries. If you would
like to see anything added here, let us know.

Have a look!

cheers,

Bob Planque and Willem-Pier Vellinga
