WHERE TO GO BIRDING IN PERU

 Birding Ayabaca region (Piura)

 

This area consist of four IBA:s (Important Bird Areas): Bosque de Cuyas, Aypate, Toldo and Huamba. The area has still not been discovered by birders. Jeremy Flanagan and J.P. Velinga for Proaves Peru, have done the first serious of inventories for the area. These areas are a stronghold for the threatened Bearded Guan.
