There is a foothill population that has a remarkably different song from the lowland form. It sings with a rising series of three clear well seperated notes - the last being the longest. It can be heard and seen on the mirador trail in for instance Pantiacolla Lodge. An example of the song can be heard on Sjoerd Mayers CD-ROm from Bolivia
